Postype respects and supports freedom of expression, in the hope that more users will continue to enjoy creative activities through Postype. However, if a report is received that a post defames another person or infringes their portrait rights or privacy, Article 44 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection requires us to take a temporary measure (forced unpublishing of the post for 30 days).
Guide to Reporting Defamation and Other Rights Infringement explains how to request a temporary measure against a post. The following cases may be judged as potential defamation or other rights infringement.
- Stating facts or false facts in order to defame an individual or organization, such as spreading false information or rumors
- Cyber sexual violence
- Cyber stalking
- Disclosure of another person's personal information, such as their address, personal email address, personal phone number, or bank account information
- Other cases that may violate applicable laws and regulations
