In what cases can I request access restriction for my own posts?
The requester must first try to delete the post themselves. However, if it is difficult to log in and delete the post, as in the cases below, you may request access restriction for your own posts.
- You have lost access to an account that has no means of identity verification (mobile phone∙credit card∙i-PIN, creator verification records, point purchase records), making identity verification and login impossible
- You have lost access to an account whose email was never verified, making identity verification and login impossible
- A designated person to whom the deceased delegated the exercise of the right to request access restriction during their lifetime, or a bereaved family member, requests access restriction for the deceased's internet posts
However, an access restriction request may be refused in the following cases.
- The user can delete the post themselves
- The post is not eligible for an access restriction request, or the request falsely seeks access restriction for another person's post
- The post for which access restriction is requested must be preserved under a law or an order delegated by a law
- The post for which access restriction is requested is substantially related to the public interest
If I have lost my Postype login email and password and cannot log in, can I request access restriction for my own posts?
Access restriction requests cannot be made for posts on accounts that completed identity verification on or after January 1, 2018. Please use Find Account on the login page to find your account yourself, log in, and then delete the post or close your account. Even if the email used at sign-up can no longer be used, for example because it was closed, you can log in by changing your email and resetting your password.
Access restriction requests cannot be made for posts on accounts for which Find Email and Find Password are available. If the account has ever purchased points, please send the contact information (mobile phone number) entered at the time of payment and the date and time of payment (year, month, day, hour, minute) via Submit a Request. If the account has completed creator verification, please send a copy of the identification attached at the time of creator verification (with the last 6 digits of the resident registration number masked) and a copy of the bankbook via Submit a Request. We will look up the account matching the information you provide and inform you of part of the email address.
Can I close my account through an access restriction request for my own posts?
Access restriction for your own posts can be requested only on a per-channel basis, and account closure must be carried out by the member themselves after logging in. Please note that for accounts that have not logged in for 5 years from the date of last access, Postype destroys the personal information and terminates the service agreement.
Even though I wrote the post, is an access restriction request impossible if I cannot prove that I published it?
According to the Korea Communications Commission's guidelines, an access restriction request is not possible if it cannot be proven that the requester is the author of the post. In light of the fact that the purpose of the guidelines is to protect the author's personal information, access restriction is possible only where the post contains personal information that can identify the author, as follows.
- At least 2 pieces of disclosed information, such as name, gender, date of birth, workplace, school, or area of residence, all match you
- Information that can identify a specific individual, such as a resident registration number, passport number, or driver's license number, matches you
- A posted photo in which the entire face is visible matches you
What happens in search results when I request access restriction?
If, after comprehensive consideration of the submitted supporting materials, the post is determined to be the requester's own post, the original post is completely deleted and will no longer appear in search results.
It may take some time for the post to be removed from the search results of external search engines. If the post continues to appear in searches, the search engine's page description or cache may be outdated, so please request deletion directly from that site.
