Postype respects and supports freedom of expression, in the hope that more users will continue to enjoy creative activities through Postype. However, if a report is received that a post infringes someone's rights, action will be taken in accordance with applicable law.
Under the Copyright Act, a creative form of expression that is concretely expressed externally through words, letters, sounds, colors, and the like constitutes a work protected by copyright, and copyright vests in the author from the moment of creation. Online service providers such as Postype are obligated under Article 103 of the Copyright Act to immediately suspend the reproduction and transmission of a work that infringes another person's copyright and to notify the rights claimant and the person reproducing and transmitting it.
For posts that infringe copyright, you may request a temporary measure by referring to the Guide to Reporting Copyright Infringement. The following cases may be judged as potential copyright infringement.
- Copying a work as-is without the permission of the original author
- Reproducing or distributing, without authorization, all or part of a work whose original and original author are clearly identifiable
- Illegally sharing files of novels, comics, films, broadcasts, music, etc., or sharing methods of obtaining them
- Containing content that encourages the installation of, or sells, illegally copied programs
- Infringing, without authorization, the rights of others such as copyrights, trademark rights, or design rights
However, posts where copyright infringement is clearly recognizable, such as the unauthorized reproduction and distribution of ③ an entire creative work for which ① the original work and original author are widely known and ② the legitimate distribution channels are clear, will be subject to immediate sanctions in accordance with our policy.
